I was at Sally’s to pick up some facial wax and I just couldn’t resist, they had some great polishes on clearance so I picked up two more Orly’s, Shining Star and Twlight, two lovely glitters I picked up for $1.99 each! I also picked up FingerPaints Red Crackle for the same price and then they had Champagne Bubbles, Skyscraper, Poinsettia, and Iron Cross 360 which looks a lot like Riveting, so I had to give it a home in my collection. I also picked up Instant Artificials and it’s really working out nicely as a new base coat.
I want to try to stamp with Champagne Bubbles, but for now I used it as the base color for my current manicure. I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri’s in Pronto Purple which looked red on this gold base color, and Co-Bolt Blue, which turned green on this base color. I did okay on the stamping, still not as perfect as I would like it to be, but it’s still good. I seem to get better results when I stamp at night, it’s like the winds die down enough I can get it on my nails before it dries on the stamper.
I hope you like this manicure, I am not as pleased with it as I had hoped I would be, but then it’s just on for a little while, it’s not like I have to leave it on for longer then I want to. That’s the best part of having a nail polish hobby interest. You can change them as often as you like. I hope that you enjoy your polishes as much as I enjoy mine. I am pondering the purchase of either a helmer from Ikea, or a 3 drawer storage cube sometimes called a melmer, because you get it from Michael’s or Hobby Lobby. When I get one I’ll post stash pictures. We got the new camera, but I am still learning to get the settings right. Luckily this camcorder doesn’t do too bad in sunlight. That’s all for now, happy polishing!
